The decision by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to ask the Leader of the Opposition to respond to his 2009/2010 budget presentation on the next working day has effectively reduced parliament’s budget debate process to a total farce.
A number of public servants have been hard at work over numerous months crunching numbers, putting the estimates together, preparing sector plans and assisting with the development of the policy statements that are typically made in the budget address. How therefore can a parliamentary opposition without research and administrative staff, respond adequately to this level and volume of government output with no working days available for preparation?
Yet we actually found time in Dominica to listen to arguments back and forth on this blatant abuse of parliamentary procedure, fearful in the main, that the severe condemnation it deserves will upset Mr. Skerrit and consequently close the doors of the Red Clinic.
Miraculously though, notwithstanding the severely disadvantaged position in which he was placed, Ron Green succeeded in using the time available for the Opposition Leader’s response to demonstrate the superiority of real green economy vision over the deception of Skerrit’s number games and the fantasies of his economic mumbo jumbo.

I was is the house when Hon Ron Green made his presentation, I have also witnessed Mike Douglas, Rosie Douglas, Edisson James, Earl Williams all respond to budget addresses. (By the way the Freedom Party used to give Mike half day to respond) .
This is the worst (most pathetic) response I have ever witnessed. Mr. Green has just comfirmed that he has absolutely no leadership qualities and is an old tired man who needs to retire from politics.
The response written by Athie, Lennox, Franklyn, and Bernard Willshire was disjointed, unparliamentary and disrespectful. Lennox Linton’s hatred of Roosevelt Skerrit was evident in the address. There was no concrete proposal to develope the country. He could not even deliver on his Green Economy. There were no proposals as to how he would raise the required resources for the development of the country.
It was a shameful act. I am left with no doubt that the Labour Party is going to win 17+ seats at the next general elections.

Hon Ron Green used the better part of two hours and ten minutes to launch a personnal attack on the character of the PM an to criticize Dominica, as written for him by hate man Lennox Linton. He should no passion in what he was asked to read. (Hate Man is the term given by the Antiguan PM Baldwin Spencer)
Those who celebrate expertise in abusing the privilege of mass communication via internet blogs to accuse Lennox Linton of involvement in the 2009 budget presentation of Hon. Ron Green when he had absolutely nothing to do with it, are certainly capable of ensuring that the Dominica Labour Party wins 42+ seats at the next General Election. Long live the king. Life goes on. And (the compulsive lies of inveterate liars included) things unfold as they are programmed to unfold.

One day those empty laborites will learn to respond factually to issues rather than resorting to petty personal attacks which have absolutely nothing to do with the issues.
With supporters like Chavez, one understands why the PM can steal from the treasury as if that is normal and right. To me I didn’t hear Chavez on the bin bobol issue or on the fertilizer bobol issue. I guess Skerrit can do no wrong. To point out Skerrit’s corruption and stealing ways is to be a “hate man”.
Well, thank God for Lennox Linton who have opened our eyes to show us how just big a thief Skerrit and his gang are (Alibaba & the 40 thieves). The good thing about it all, is that Skerrit knows that everything that Lennox has revealed to the public about his corrupt ways are absolutely true. He knows that he can’t dispute the facts, so Skerrit depends on dishonest fools to come to his defence, whenever he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Chavez I challenge you to disprove all the facts on this website which clearly shows that PM Skerrit is a Professed LIAR & THIEF. Try to disprove them without resorting to personal attacks, if you can ( I doubt it very much). If Skerrit is a “Thief” as you claim, he is stealing from the treasury, is accepting bribes, has resources he cannot account for from his legitimate income and you and Hate Man Lennox Linton has all the evidence I believe you have the ultimate responsibility to do something about it.
The avenue for action is not the internet blogs or the radio talk shows. A man is presumed to be innocent untill proven guilty in a competent court of law. The internet and radio talk shows are not a competent court of Law.
The tax payers of Dominica is paying for the competent authority where complaints are made against public officials who steals from the treasury, accepts bribes or has unaccounted property. That is the Integrity Commission.
If Skerrit is found to be dishonest he has to go and I will support all effort to achieve this end, but a competent authority must first find him to be dishonest. Not Hatred “Man Bite the Dog ” Allegations.
I now challenge you with all the evidence you have that Skerrit is stealing from the treasury, accepting bribes, and has unaccounted property, Take that evidence to the Integrity Commission and let him pay the price. Skerrit accepted that he evaded taxes to the extent that when he was caught red-handed he paid up quickly.
The same Lennox who you seek to castigate brought a case before the IPO commission, the evidence was so convincing that the puppet IPO commission said that the events reported happened before the IPO law came into effect. Note they could not deny the charges. If Skerrit was so honest and above board, why didn't he allow the IPO to be effective retroactively to include the date on which it was actually signed into law by the President? The Thief thinks that he can hide behind fools and corrupt officials everyday. 99 days for the thief, just one day for the watchman.
The Parliamentary Opposition was charged in the court of law for asking legitimate questions in Parliament.
If the documented facts highlighting Skerrit's evil ways were not genuine, why can't Skerrit sue Lennox, like how Lennox sued the Antigian Government and won?
The Credibility of the regional court has always been in question since the trend in the Caribbean region for years is that these so-called credible regional courts hardly ever rule against a sitting government.
